Quick Silver lived in the old wild west, his main base was a cave, from where he would go out on his horse and stop rustlers. He was able to fly, he was bullet-proof, and could extend his powers to others to do exceptional feats. He was the "protector of wild life", and he acted as that in his first adventure in "The Round Up" (1948), in which Quicksilver saved the wild stallion, Shadow, from the clutches of Coffin Reilly and his gang.
