Fifty thousand years ago, two super scientific civilizations existed on Earth while our ancestors were cavemen. Eventually the bestial Cat People destroyed the Men of D, with the sole exception of The chosen one . Professor Five, the leading scientist of D had used technology beyond our ken to imprison this last warrior within the pages of a book where he existed in a two dimensional half-life. The book of D was then entrusted to primitive men to be kept and guarded from the Cat People. These cat creatures would have ruled the Earth had not their land sunk beneath the ocean during a terrible earthquake. Those who were left disguised themselves and went to live among men and have thru the centuries, tried to conquer and enslave mankind. Their second goal was to find the guardian of the book of D so that may destroy the warrior inside. In 1953, the book is thrust into the hands of young Danny Davis in his used bookstore. Putting on the 3-D glasses enclosed within, Danny frees the warrior, now revealed as Captain 3-D, into the modern world. The two then joined forces to combat the Cat People whose disguise could be pierced by Cap s red and blue-lensed mask.

Puny Steve Rogers, outraged at the actions of the Germans and Japanese, attempts to enlist in the Army but is rejected because he is "too frail." He begs to be accepted and is taken instead by General Chester Phillips, who hands him over to Professor Reinstein, who gives Rogers a serum which turns him into a super man--a "super agent" for the U.S. government. Rogers puts on a costume and busts crime and Axis attempts at evil wherever he finds them. He has no superpowers, but is in the best physical shape humanly possible, is an excellent fighter, and has a shield which he uses both defensively and offensively.

Jack Monroe (Bucky II) was an orphan with an obsession about Captain America and Bucky. He discovered his history teacher had a similar fascination - so much so that he had uncovered army documents providing details of his hero's true identity, and had then changed his own name to Steve Rogers. Rogers had also uncovered information which he believed would allow him to duplicate the Super-Soldier serum. All of this he shared with Monroe. The two eagerly decided to adopt the costumed identities of their two heroes, and took the serum. Their physiques were enhanced to the peak of human fitness, but what neither realised was that the notes missed out a vital component, "Vita-Rays", which stabilised the process. Without these, both Rogers and Monroe gradually began to become paranoid and insane.

He was wounded in the first war, you see, and doesn't want to see that happen to anyone else. He sets up a laboratory on top of a mountain and begins fighting against warmongers. Besides his various assistants, he is partnered with his son, Captain Battle Jr.. He has no superpowers but has advanced technology, including the "curvoscope," which allows him to see anywhere on earth, a "dissolvo gun" which disintegrates matter, a gyroscope-like "luceflyer," and a jetpack.
