Residing in Atomville, a hidden English village populated with atomic workers , Professor Alan English is working in his laboratory with solutions involving radioactive substances, when two of the chemicals react explosively, exposing him to strange forces. Immediately afterwards he says "That's odd. I feel amazing strength surging through me - must be due to the atomic radiation! I'm a super-man - and that gives me an idea - I'll outdo those comic book heroes - as Captain Might!". Which he did...For one issue only!

From infancy, Albrecht Krieger was fed a so-called "miracle food" secretly developed by his father, Sigmund. This substance made Albrecht super-strong, incredibly agile, and insidiously intelligent. When Adolph Hitler came to power in Germany, Sigmund Krieger presented his younger son to Hitler as the ultimate development of the superior Aryan race. Impressed, Hitler dubbed Krieger Captain Nazi and had him and his older brother, Wolf, smuggled into the U.S. as a weapon against America's heroes. Later Albrecht had himself put into suspended animation for almost sixty years. When he awoke Nazi faced a new challenge by the name of Captain Marvel. After Cap foiled Nazi's attempted hijacking of the space shuttle Endeavor, the World's Mightiest Mortal landed a blow that sent Nazi into the waters of Lake Michigan, nearly swamping a boat occupied by Freddy Freeman and his grandfather, Jacob. Freddy rescued the villain from drowning, and in return, he attacked the Freemans, killing Jacob and crippling Freddy.
