Larry Davis manager came up with a stunt that she felt would enhance Larry s career. Wearing a humorous costume and false rubber nose, Larry would pretend to stop a fake robbery carried out by her assistant. However on the day Larry accidentally comes across a real robbery, and manages to catch the criminals. Finding that he enjoyed stopping the villains, he tells June not to reveal that it was he who stopped the theft, and becomes The Funnyman The creators of Superman, Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster s new hero, starred in a series that ran just six issues. (Funnyman was based on film star Danny Kaye)
