A rather blatant Human Torch rip-off, he is given no origin or secret identity nor, indeed, even much of a costume; when de-flamed, he is clad only in trunks and boots. In his single adventure, he evidently clashes with jewel thief S. Aitan, whom it is implied is in fact Satan

Lucille Martin, an adventurous novelist, was returning from a trip to China when she found herself with an elegant Chinese lady. She asked Martin to safeguard a package for her and, should she meet with foul-play, to deliver the package to Chin Liang in Washington, DC. The lady also gave her a ring, in the shape of a bluebird, which was said to grant special powers to the wearer. Then, one evening, the lights of her house went out and she knew that people had come for the package. Hiding in her bedroom she began playing with the Bluebird Ring and it fell off. Stepping on it in the dark she released some of the gas within it and breathed it, not noticing until it was too late. Suddenly, she found herself infused with strength and moving faster than she ever had before. This gas gives her the strength of ten men, resistance to up to .38 calibre bullets, and heightened reflexes. The effect lasts for at least a day.
