The only change in the cast of Little Boy Blue and the blue boys came in issue 72 when they acquired a female team-mate named Janey, who wore a bright red wig and called herself Little Miss Redhead. This didn't create much additional interest, as the series ended in issue 82. Her special weapon was a rope she could use as a lasso or a bola.

Charles Biro introduced popular supporting characters the Little Wise Guys, A "kid gang" similar to DC Comics' Newsboy Legion and many others. The group consisted of Jocko (glasses), Peewee (small), Scarecrow (scruffy and tall) and Meatball (short and fat) the latter of whom, with remarkable daring, was killed two issues later. Then Curly (bald) was added (Daredevil #16). By the late 1940s, with superheroes going out of fashion, the Little Wise Guys took centre stage, edging out Daredevil altogether with issue #70. They had no powers, but were handy with a boomerang.

The great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Lois Lane, who is a perfect look-alike for her well-known ancestress. Superman meets Lois 4XR in the year 2949 C.E., a far future era where everyone on Earth has super powers like Superman's, after an accidental bombardment of Professor Wilson's "Super-rays" has catapulted him a thousand years into the future. Try as he might, however, Superman is unable to learn whom Lois Lane would marry in the twentieth century in order to begin the line of progeny destined to culminate in the birth of Lois 4XR a full ten centuries later.
